My family moved from northern Baltimore County, Maryland to Louisville, Illinois in 1974, I attended North Clay HS, OCC and EIU.

My father was Edward “Gene” Bridges, a former tenant farmer who started his own construction and maintenance business in 1961. I am a third-generation builder.

All of my ancestors were in the construction trades, and my son, Jonathan, carries it forward by teaching building trades in a Colorado school.

I have spent the last 30-years managing construction sites nationwide for 7-11, Cracker Barrel, Hollywood Video and many others. And I often worked as a bi-vocational preacher in the Methodist and Episcopal traditions.

I am now back home with my wife of 33 years, Marla (Baker), and our Service Dog, Lucy, and focusing on making Mr. Fix-All of Flora a blessing and convenience for you, my neighbors.
